Jason Galaif is an attorney in the Tax, Trusts and Estates practice group of Clark & Trevithick. Jason specializes in a broad range of federal, state and local taxation matters, where he represents individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts and decedents’ estates before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Franchise Tax Board (FTB), Employment Development Department (EDD), California Board of Equalization (SBOE), and Office of Tax Appeals (OTA). Jason also advises clients on planning for business sales, acquisitions and reorganizations.
Prior to joining to Clark & Trevithick, Jason successfully defended taxpayers in tax audits, United States Tax Court litigation, offshore voluntary disclosures and compliance matters, administrative appeals, claims for refund and complex tax collection cases.
Jason has both a J.D. and an LL.M. in taxation from University of San Diego. Undergraduate work was completed at University of Arizona with a BA in Accounting.
